After much deliberating we decided to have a loft conversion & having never undertaken a project of this size sat down with a number of builders to discuss our requirements however none of them were ticking all of the boxes.Upon talking to someone in our street they recommended using North & South and offered for us to view the quality of their work which really impressed the both of us.
We sat down with the two Paul’s & Gary to discuss our requirements and were immediately impressed with what they were telling us & their professionalism right down to the fact that they were sporting corporate wear which really made you feel like you were dealing with the right type of people. They listened closely to our requirements & even recommended a reasonably priced architect, which we used, to enable us to draw up the appropriate plans for them to work to.
When the plans were in place & work commenced we couldn’t speak highly enough about the team, they were polite, courteous & cleaned up after wards to keep the mess to a bare minimum. They also kept us informed every step of the way & sat down with us to discuss each & every stage especially when any decisions were looming around the finished look. We couldn’t speak more highly about how well the project was managed by North & South and went far more smoothly than we had ever imagined.
All in all they were the best value for money & couldn’t recommend them more highly.

North and South recently completed a project for us to build an extension, install a new kitchen and move round certain rooms in the house (involving repartitioning and some restructuring). They also helped us to landscape the garden as well! We worked mainly with the two Pauls and they were both very friendly and helpful. They were neat and tidy, kept us very well informed and were great at managing the project and the other people involved (eg electrician, plumber). Thanks so much for your work converting our loft into a lovely light living space. My wife was pregnant and the clock was ticking. The planning app got delayed a bit and you started as soon as possible. We gave you a pretty tight deadline and you met it really successfully. You always kept us informed and up to date and you were always easy to reach. We really appreciated the way you kept the job moving in the summer despite people going on holidays etc. We also loved the way you kept everything clean and organised and were very open with what stage you were at. It was a pleasure dealing with you and we love the space it’s doubled the size of our flat and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend your services to any of our friends. North and South were professional from the initial quotation stage right through to completion. The estimate for my single storey extension and garage conversion was comprehensive and reflected the architect's specification. This ensured there were no hidden elements during the build phase. Additional work was discussed and always accommodated. North and South also managed the relationship with the BCO as the build progressed as well as the numerous trades that worked on our property. Throughout the three month period, the team were professional and approachable and delivered a high standard of workmanship.
