My wife and I were very keen to extend our house and have a loft extension built as a financially viable way of gaining the extra bedroom and bathroom we needed. We went through the process of getting several quotations from different companies and we were immediately impressed with the attitude shown by the two Paul's from North and South. I can not recommend North and South highly enough. Gary, Gary and Paul have done an excellent job in restructuring our kitchen. They were always very approachable and helpful. All their subcontractors were very reliable and the new kitchen is superb. The project came in on time and on budget with North and South liaising with the kitchen company for a seamless project. We asked North & South to quote for works based on recommendations from friends and they have lived up to all expectations at every stage of the project. During the couple of months of works we have worked closely with all 3 owners (Paul, Gary & Paul) and they have all approached their work with a courteous, considerate, honest and reliable manner. We lived in the house throughout the works and North & South treated it as a family home rather than simply a building site and were meticulous in tidying up any mess at the end of each day which was much appreciated.We were very impressed by their customer focus - they genuinely put the customer first. Their quotes were honoured and any unforeseen issues were fully explained and agreed before proceeding. As customers, we felt that North & South did everything to keep costs down to those originally agreed. The attention to detail has been outstanding in all aspects of the works and throughout the project they were very amenable to any changes in specification that we requested. We are delighted with the completed works. In our experience North & South are a very professional, trustworthy and helpful firm and we have already recommended them to several friends considering building works.

North & South have just completed an 8 month project for us including demolition, extension, loft conversion and major internal reconfiguration. Their work has been of the highest quality and completed on time. It was very reassuring to have professional, trustworthy builders who we could leave our home to and not have to keep checking up on them. They always kept us informed (even coming up with cost saving and improvement ideas), were friendly and easy to contact. The sub contractors used for brickwork, electrics, plumbing, plastering etc. were also easy to get on with and left our home clean and tidy. North and South completed a substantial double storey extension at the rear of our property and internal refurbishment of our existing property in early 2010. They were extremely professional and hard-working. They were involved in all aspects of the build process including decorating. The quality of workmanship was high, their knowledge substantial and the finish impressive. Despite the upheaval it was surprising to find builders with a sense of humour and willingness to compromise with our needs. North and South have just completed a large, complex kitchen/study/garage extension for us. It required extensive steelwork to underpin the existing house and accomodate a 6m glass bi-folding door and large atrium for the new kitchen. It also incorporated large areas of plastering, tiling and piped under-floor heating. The workmanship has been of the highest quality and professionalism, dedication and attitude of the team has been first rate. The subcontractors they used were first rate and the whole team interfaced very well with the architect/surveyor, specialist door/glass supplier and kitchen fitters that we had already chosen. They coped professionally with the inevitable changes (although these were few and unforeseeable) and priced additions that we requested fairly and competitively.We would thoroughly recommend them to anybody considering any scale of building work, as they were recommended to us by friends.

The standard of workmanship has been excellent throughtout across a range of trades from electrical work to decorating. They have responded rapidly to problems and issues(old pipework causing leaks) and finally they have been communicative throughout the process and have kept me fully informed.Quotations were kept to and any additional work negotiated by agreement with the minimum of fuss.
They are a really decent team of men and I was happy to have them in my home and was very pleased with the finish work.
